I had a Shark IQ R101AE self-draining robot for a few weeks until its drive motor failed, so I replaced it with an M7 Pro with optional dust collector. In general this works well, however heavier items in the basket stay on board the robot. Since the M7 Pro uses the same large built-in bin for both independent and self-drain modes, it doesn't matter unless you have a lot of large debris (scattered flakes, etc.). The trash can for the M7 PRO is almost indispensable. I have two M7s, one on top and one on bottom, but the bin is only on top.
