Efficient and Accurate Stud Locator

This stud finder excels at finding studs quickly and reliably compared to others in its class. The quick-pin feature reduces the chance of false readings and concentrates on the precise location of a stud. Its ergonomic design is easy to use and easy to handle. However, we found that the screen can be difficult to read in dimly lit spaces.

Pros
  • Efficient and reliable stud finding, quick-pin feature, ergonomic design.
Cons
  • Difficult to read in dimly lit spaces.

Defective and not: scanners and testers

Requires 2 AAA batteries. I did a whole house renovation with the ProSensor 710 and have never had a problem with this sensor. I could never get a clear picture of the wall studs. Unfortunately I threw away the packaging and cannot return it. I would recommend the ProSensor 710 instead.

The best bolt sensors!

I've had dozens of gauges with rivets and have gotten used to the annoying wrong readings and other issues that I have with most other gauges. It's so easy to use and seems really accurate. I haven't had to use it on old lathes and plaster walls yet so I'm not sure how it will go. Overall I'm very happy with it so far. It's a bit fiddly, but worth it as it speeds up installation.
