Worked very well with our old two wire plugs

Our house is old so most of our plugs only have two pins, two wires and most of the wires look the same. We needed to know which wires were hot so we could install GFCI connectors for safety. This little gem worked great!

Good value for money

The test unit came with dead batteries, but it works perfectly with good batteries. I was hoping to tweak the sensitivity a bit more, but haven't used it enough to really give it a fair rating at this point, oh, and it probably had Dollar General batteries! I'm not a fan of their batteries or their lightbulbs. Ha! Good luck, hope this helps.

Great value for both tools; NCV tester ideal for safety

A few months ago I bought a non-contact voltage tester from Tacklife and have found it indispensable when replacing the switches in my house with smart switches. A must have safety tool to make sure you don't have live wires when working with wires and also good for diagnostics to find a hot wire in a box. I bought another one to keep nearby or to give to my dad but also wanted a socket tester. When I saw this combo offer I returned the 2nd unused Tacklife tester and bought it instead. I used a
