I have an early 2011 macbook pro and was worried this wasn't going to work as it's not listed as a model it services. It works so great and the ability to easily take it off makes much cooler than the other one I was looking at for my model. The privacy filter works great. My office is kind of screwed up and I'm sitting with my back to an open door, so everyone that walks by gets a shot of my screen. Now they just see a black screen. Thanks!

In my case, It has two major limitations1. It reduces the brightness of the screen and I have to increase the brighness.2. In case a user increases the brightness then due to the heat produced by the screen this protector produces a white dust kind of material which is very much visible on the screen.I don't want to ruin my 3K MacBook and I'd be returning this item. Upon searching the comments I've found that an another user is also facing the issue related to the dust.Seller/Producer take this

I tried this on my 2019 MacBook Pro. It doesn't stick to the top of the screen, and is not long enough to have any support at the bottom. So it slips down, with the opaque strip at the top covering the top of the screen.

Just as advertised. My institution requires it for exams and it works great. Prior to getting the new MacBook and this privacy screen I would always be placing and removing a junky one. I just leave this one on. High clarity and not blurry when looking straight on. Almost pitch black when looking from an angle.

I got this privacy filter for my new 16" Macbook pro. I don't like to have prying eyes over my shoulder when I'm DJing or when I'm traveling. This filter is great and SO EASY to install/remove. It's pretty thin and has a nice field of view. My old privacy filter was kind of annoying because of the small range of view. You had to stare straight on ALL THE TIME! The screen is pretty much completely blacked out from the side, hiding all your info! I highly suggest this filter!

Absolutely love this thing! Lays totally flat on the screen, sticks to it without being impossible to remove, and the clarity is amazing! It doesn't compromise the quality of the screen at all, like some do. Truly wonderful product! Comes with alcohol wipes, cloth, and dust sticker so that your screen is crispy and clean when you apply it.

It works well for the purpose of privacy but because of the size of the panel, parts of the panel will show significant darkened areas because of the angle between your eyes and the far left and right of the screen especially if you sit near the screen. The product is not defective per se but this is a matter of geometry and angles on a large screen. I don't know if the unit I was sent is faulty, but the entire screen has rainbow colored streaks that reflect any light and make it SO MUCH harder to see the screen. The fit and installation are great and as described, but the streaking is so bad that I may as well have just lit my money on fire instead of buying it.

In theory the screen protector works fine. Not worth the money for sure. I have the newest model on the 16 inch MacBook Pro. It completely cuts off the menu bar on the top of the screen. There is no way to position this screen protector for it to allow you to see your entire screen. I like that it is removable, so I can make it work while I am working in crowded areas I guess. But I will be researching another screen protector.

Easy installation. Stays in place. Does it’s job correctly just sometimes as expected fingerprints get on it so you’ll have to clean with cleanser.

It does what it's supposed to do in terms of privacy, but it's not very convenient to have to guess where items in the top menu bar are. There is a black strip at the top that covers the menu completely no matter how I try to adjust it.

Now this screen will help me a lot. I am a student and studying to be a lawyer, very often I work at a laptop at University and the privacy shield is just super. It's pretty hard to look at the screen and peek at my work ) and by the way, my eyes are less tired. I am happy with the purchase!

As soon as I tilted the screen to close the clamshell it fell off. Tried it every way, both sides. Falls off every time. Reduction in color vibrancy!

I really had high expectations on this privacy filter when I ordered it, but after installing it I stopped using it immediately. The privacy functionality is too poor for me so I didn't dare to use it when commuting. On the other hand, everything about privacy is about how much privacy you need. Update: 3 stars. After about a year of owning this, I'm docking it 2 stars. While the listing says to simply wet the adhesive strip with water when it starts to lose hold, I've found that it's progressively gotten worse and worse with sticking to the screen. Likewise, I've found it nearly impossible to clean once it gets dirty, as it never seems to be able to get to the same clarity I had when I first got it. Super disappointed because I waited to put this on after buying it (so I can't return it 30 days has passed) not knowing my computer would be backordered. Just got my new M1 and the privacy screen DOES NOT FIT I cannot see the top of my screen.

This is helpful if people are sitting to the side of you. Is not helpful if people are behind you of course. As a medical provider, this was a great addition to my work computer.

I purchased this product with the mindset thinking that it was a privacy screen protector. IT’S NOT. I have no other use for it so I sent it back. Other wise it’s great to avoid finger prints etc etc.
