Windows 10? Not compatible?!?!?

Turns out it's not compatible with Windows 10, which makes absolutely no sense for a modern device. Windows 10 is being forced on almost everyone. But I went further and set up my computer and installed Windows 7 on it so I could find out if that was my problem and it turned out to be it! This device is pretty well balanced for the price!

Poor Poor Poor! for computers and accessories

Gigabit? NO! If it did, the driver was installed and only a 100Mbps Fast Ethernet connection could be established. I updated the driver directly from the Realtek site, the result is the same. I thought it might be my network cable. Grabbed my laptop, plugged in the same cable and got a 1Gbps connection. Maybe it's the map, just a way to confirm. Went to Fry and bought a TP-LINK TG-3468, installed it and got a 1Gbps connection. I should have just gone with TP-LINK instead of trying to save aโ€ฆ

Worked 2 days and then had to go back.

I'm not sure if these devices are tested before sale but I'm upgrading my network from 10/100 to gigabit (1000). In any case, this card worked for 2 days, then came to my office and said that the network cable was disconnected. So I checked the connections and tried a new cable, but that didn't help. Shut down the computer and pull out the card, it was HOT like very hot. I waited for it to cool down and tried it on another desktop computer. Installed the driver etc and plugged in a networkโ€ฆ

Not compatible with Linux or DOA

Either not compatible with Linux or defective. Tried on openSUSE 12.3 x64 PC. It is recognized and gets an IP address, but the connection fails. It also causes periodic hard blockage. Got a different card, different manufacturer, but with the same chipset and works fine on the same system. Don't waste calories trying to get it back. EDIT: Seller contacted seller the next day after verification and offered a replacement or refund (no refund required).
