Good Replica: Other Sports

Overall good buy. Prior to purchase the listing stated it came with a stand and was changed a few days later, contacted customer service but never received a reply. For what I paid I wish the stand was included.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • So Far So Good

very well built

What started as a joke between me and my wife that I would wear this helmet led to the purchase of a plastic helmet. However, I didn't like the fit, so I bought these. It fits well and looks authentic. So if you see a weirdo driving down the freeway with you in a van, it probably is me.

Pros
  • still satisfied so far
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

A good helmet is the best protective gear

A good metal helmet fits well. 2 problems: Some rivets inside need to be closed to protect the wearer's forehead. Also, the "cucumber" or spike isn't metal, it's a removable plastic that attaches to a brass base on top of the helmet. Otherwise it's good and the stand supports it well for display purposes.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Low maintenance

This is a BIG collector's item

This helmet is for a family member's collection of German helmets with an interest in European history. It appears to be well made and is an authentic recreation of the era it represents. Very very good product. Shipping may take a while, so be patient, it's worth the wait. shelby

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Almost never

Decent quality for other sports

Another attempt to evaluate this product. With? This is a worthy helmet to display. But only suitable for wearing in re-enactments, role-playing games, masquerade events, etc. A bit expensive for what you get. PRO: Came with a wooden stand. Cons: A little beat up upon arrival.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • long shipping

When I opened the box there was a strong smell of paint fumes

When I opened the box there was a strong smell of paint fumes when I removed the bubble wrap the helmet was full of oil, I I got me asked why it was then out of the box after 4 days, the gold accents started to turn brown, I think that's why they oiled it heavily to keep the gold from turning. It was beautiful but not made with love and care.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

If brass is held down it will turn "brown " if not washed.

This product, the Prussian WW1-2 helmet gets an A from me. that would be an A, but the chin strap has no device to hold it together like the original. I think it's more accurate to call it the 1870 pattern cavalry helmet, they were used in WW1 rather than WW2. no plastic, the liner is great and the paint job is great! Recommended for history buffs! (There is a buckle on the leather strap)

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Has flaws
