1999 GMC Suburban Works great as long as it fits perfectly

1999 GMC Suburban Works great as long as it fits perfectly. Fixed issue with RMP, speedometer, transmission in 3rd gear and shifter.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other models

Gear shifts, speedo and tach now work

Worked great, fixed my problem, my transmission wouldn't shift and speedo and revs went to zero, dashboards went out, this part fixed it all! And for less than half of what the part manufacturer wanted for the same part!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Useless functions

I had to modify the part, there is no protective plug with combination lock.

This did not work without modification on my 98 gmc 1500 v6. I had to cut a safety wire that goes into the front of the ignition cylinder housing. Luckily this was an easy fix, I just had to remove the blue retaining clips and use a paper clip to pry the wires out of the connector. As soon as I connected and installed the protective part of the wiring harness, the truck started with no problems. Without the wire, the combination lock would work and the truck would just stall. It's still better…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
