Attention, the filter is not sealed!

You don't even have to use the filter when you get it. The filter is not sealed and has large holes at the narrow end. Luckily I have OCD and am a mechanic so I took it to look and noticed I could see through the bottom.

It's fine but not waterproof, that's the whole point of this style of filter

The only thing I would have liked differently is the bottom of the filter and the other side of the hose made out of rubber instead of out to produce plastic. As for why they supply a 3" to 2" adapter for both sides I had to buy 2 3" connectors to install this

Not too shabby in filter

Easy to install although the couplers don't quite fit the supplied hose. I tweaked a bit with my heat gun, took just over 30 minutes to install. I saw a positive increase in torque but my power was neutral. I've experimented with Specter and K&N cold air intakes and this is by far the best of any other brand I've come across.

2001 Santa Fe works!

This filter worked great on my 2001 Hyndai Santa Fe. My stock air filter housing broke and needed to be replaced. And ordering a stock air filter costs me $600 from the dealer and $344 on ebay. I chose this one and it worked great. It fitted right into the stock tube that housed a regular stock filter. And very happy. I didn't use the tube that came with the kit but it's nice to see it's there. Very pleased and would recommend if you have a Santa Fe with a broken air box.
