I really like these shorts. I bought them in M and switched to small. The little one fits much better. If you are about to size up, you should probably go for the smaller of the options as they are roomy and not too tight. The belt is excellent. Not too tight and not too loose. Received on Friday and worn all weekend. Didn't want to take them off! So cool and comfortable, and fits very well. I'm 5ft 2in and 170lbs and size XL is perfect. For years I only wore cycling shorts because I never had to worry about them chafing my tight skin or crotch. So these Pudollas were a risk I'm willing to take because I've been hiking a lot lately and need shorts with deep pockets for my hiking gear (phone, lip balm, sunscreen, etc.).
