🥊 Punch-Drunk Love: The Criterion Collection - A Masterpiece of Quirk and Romance Review

I've worked in the film industry, so I'm extremely critical of everything in the finale. Other than that, Paul Thomas Anderson is one of my favorite directors. Frame and framing - perfection. It's dark but funny and ultimately a love story. I think everyone should see this regardless of their skepticism.</p>

Sandler has a certain role he plays, some like it, some don't like it. This film is perfect for turning your "Sandler character" into a slightly dark romantic comedy and making it work on all levels. Excellent supporting roles were played by Philip Seymour Hoffman, Emily Watson and Mary Lynn Rajskub. One of my favorite films of all time and the Criterion version is excellent as always.

What an interesting take on love. Like many people, I'm not a fan of Adam Sandler. But here he proves that he really can play. It's a very quirky story with great music, acting and a great ending. Not your typical love story, but it proves that love vibrates higher than hate and that you can love with your flaws! I recommend this film to anyone looking for a refreshing look at love, courage and confronting your own shortcomings. . I'm glad to see it's going to be a blue ray soon.

We were expecting bizarre, goofy, and rom-com. That was the worst money ever spent on a film. It was awful, incoherent and not funny at all. I'm trying to think of a better way to say that this was the worst and saddest waste of the night. We just watched to the end to see if this sprawling mess would turn something into a big "aha" moment that would redeem a night of pain and confusion. Do not rent this POS film. Unless my review intrigued you enough to check out Adam Sandler's worst movie!

Don't listen to negative reviews from people who don't understand humor. Aside from the typical Adam Sandler fart joke. I loved Happy Gilmore as much as anyone, but it shows he's not a one-color prankster. He plays a man suffering from a fairly severe emotional disorder.
