Pureburg Replacement Wrapping Pre Filters Honeywell Review

Very good value for money filter! The only complaint I really had was when you first got it. STINK. Thankfully, the smell dissipated after I installed the filter in my air purifier and ran it on high for about an hour, but that strong factory rubber smell is pretty strong at first. All in all I will definitely be ordering more!

Excellent! Ignore Nelly's negativity. That works great! No smell like people said. Just a note, the last Honeywell OEM filter I bought smelled like a rubber gasket when installed. So anyone who complains probably just doesn't know their way around the filter industry. But it doesn't smell anyway. Perfect fit for my Honeywell 24000 model. Will buy more if needed!

Do not buy this filter! Pureburg claims it's a "true HEPA filter." I do not think so. We've had it in our air purifier for less than 1 month and it's not working properly. The light that comes on to let you know it needs replacing comes back on and it doesn't remove odors like cooking odors from the air. The Honeywell Hepa filter does just that. So much for savings.

Does "compatible with" mean that the filter really fits? No, not for 50250-S. It's much shorter than the height of the car, which presumably means that filtering normally goes down to that height and not beyond. It's weird and I'm very disappointed. The height information in the product specs is accurate, so I highly recommend you take the time to measure the filter size you have from the manufacturer and decide for yourself if you want to buy this filter. Despite its good design, this filter does not meet the required standards. The filter does not have a uniform round shape on the inside, plus a piece of sheet metal that holds the filter material together (visible from inside the filter). The sheet metal itself makes the filter uneven in weight distribution. In Honeywell devices, the filter is used as part of the stabilization method. Just look at the picture I have attached to this review. On the left is PUREBURG, nice and clean. On the right is the original OEM filter, grimy gray and looking like 100 miles of bad road. Upper and lower pad: rubber, same as OEM version. Number of folds in the filter material: same as OEM.
