2012 Wrangler with 3.6L Pentastar engine. Filter and sealing ring are included in the scope of delivery. You will be amazed at how much easier it is to change the oil with this canister filter, it actually took less than 10 minutes. I recommend first removing the plug, replacing the filter on drain (sooo easy but you need a 15/16 or 24mm head to open the canister), replacing the plug, refueling the engine. Happy spinning!

Downgraded to 3 stars. Before 5. Warning - don't accidentally pull this thing (this is also a Jeep Wrangler problem. actually everything with Pentastar 3.6l v6). The Jeep Wrangler with the 3.6L Pentastar V6 has an upper filter cartridge case that contains this filter (I'm sure if you buy this you'll know). I don't know why it took me so long to guess that it's easier to put an oil filter on the engine. Replacing the filter cartridge is easy; It's easy to get to and all the oil is already drained before you take the filter out. I believe the reusable steel cap saves some materials and waste costs, but adds an extra step to the replacement process and makes disposing of the old filter a little messier.
