I really like the look of this shift knob. My only issue is that after installation, the washer shows the gears are not straight. So it's crooked and there's no way to fix it. :/

Excellent value for money. Looks very, very nice, feels nice, well weighted, carefully stitched, snug and fits snugly on my 2006 BMW330i. Time will tell how the leather wears down, but at this price I'm buying another as a replacement now.

This worked 100% perfect for the original on my 2000 323i 5 speed. The old one was worn against the skin and the mount on the shank was loose and the knob/button swiveled and was easily removed. This new one went straight out of the box, just as it is. It's tight and perfect and really brings it back to the 'original new' shifting experience. I love it, highly recommend.

I was a bit skeptical about this purchase to replace my aging Z3 shift knob. The price was great compared to OEM replacement parts so I decided to give it a try. It arrived quickly. The handle is exactly as pictured. I don't know the quality of the material but it looks like leather. It fits perfectly with the BMW shifter. It's weighted a bit so it feels substantial when shifting. Overall, my first impression is very good.

Perfect fit. Tired of replacing the stock button that's worn out, the chrome that's peeling and actually cuts my finger a few times. It takes some force to pull out the shaft handle. The OEM handle is associated with a leather case and this design is detachable from the console. They then surgically detach the leather from the boot at the bottom of the shaft grip, snap the boot into place, and insert the new grip. It sits over the trunk and holds it in place. Bought this item even though there were only 2 reviews. I'm so glad I did. The leather has a natural feel, the build quality is good and the fit is perfect for my 1997 BMW e36. The weighted nature of the pen was a bonus; For reference, the shank button weighed just 3.3 ounces, while this derailleur was closer to 5.6 ounces. I like the extra weight but preferences vary. Two other differences between this item and the previous shift knob: 1. Matte finish; 2. The Gear lettering is embedded deeper…

Comfortable to hold, looks good. The skin seems fine. But landing on the rod sucks, to say the least. He's STRAIGHT into the gap. I put some tape on the stem to keep it in place otherwise the derailleur would just slip back into 1st or 4th gear. I am sure if you are very aggressive it will do the same in all gears. Which is not ideal at all. I am referring to the design of the hole that the shifter snaps into, IMO just a poor design which BMW obviously has, not the manufacturer of this product.
