Comfortable to hold, looks good. The skin seems fine. But landing on the rod sucks, to say the least. He's STRAIGHT into the gap. I put some tape on the stem to keep it in place otherwise the derailleur would just slip back into 1st or 4th gear. I am sure if you are very aggressive it will do the same in all gears. Which is not ideal at all. I am referring to the design of the hole that the shifter snaps into, IMO just a poor design which BMW obviously has, not the manufacturer of this product. I guess I'll take care of that now. But I'll probably work out my traction so I can bolt it on and never have to fiddle with those shift knobs again.
