A great tool which works well: QEMU

I can run multiple Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, Mac) at once in my computer without having to buy another device just for that purpose. This software allows me to have access to all files of different operating systems from one place with ease. The speed could be improved. It's not very fast on some computers so it may take longer than expected. If you're looking for something simple but effective this is perfect for your needs. I use it as a way to learn other OSs because it runs…

Pros
  • I used to use it to play games because I couldn't get them to work on my computer
Cons
  • It's easy to learn how to open it but not easy to learn how to use it

Virtualization platform made simple and flawless

It's very easy to use, there are lots of options that you can set for your configuration. There is also a GUI which makes it easier to get all kinds of complex setups done in just one or two clicks! I would say that sometimes when using multiple machines at once (as most people do), certain things don't always work like they should be working if you're doing something with more than 2 VMs running simultaneously - but this is usually because my setup isn't perfect yet :). Just try out different…

Pros
  • The easy of use and the multiple configurations you can set
Cons
  • Also, I'm not limited by physical space anymore, since i have access to hundreds of powerful servers

Comprehensive & User Friendly VMSystem

The ability to build your own operating system in a Linux environment is very useful for people who work with software that doesn't support Linux natively (e.g., Adobe products). Creating an OS image also supports creating images of other platforms such as MacOS, Microsoft Windows, etc. I am still unable to run any proprietary or non-free applications within my VM environments because they are not compatible with Linux's kernel. This can cause problems when using them in conjunction with our IT

Pros
  • The ability to create a custom operating system that can run within a Linux environment
Cons
  • The lack of compatibility with proprietary software that doesn't support Linux natively
