I bought and installed another kit from another seller. But they didn't go! Sent them back and bought these. Easy to install and works as expected so - BOOM - the hood won't fall off anymore!

These shocks are very easy to fit and very strong. Used a small screwdriver to open/loosen the old shock absorbers. It is recommended to start at the end closest to the engine and then go to the end attached to the hood to remove the worn shock absorber. To install a new shock absorber, it is recommended to connect it to the hood first, as the base connection clip can rotate. Total time 5 minutes.

I am a woman who is not afraid to make simple repairs to her old (2009) Lexus ES350. After my old hood pillars were trying to close the hood on my head, I watched an online video and thought I could do this repair myself. I used a flathead screwdriver to remove the old stands and then snapped them into place. The new struts are stiffer than I'm used to, so I had to use some force to push down on the hood to close it the first time. Anyhow, they were easy to install and worked great.
