Enhanced Flood Sensor QS5536-840 S-Line - Upgraded Version of QS5516-840 Review

I bought this addition to my Qolsys alarm system after a basement flooded due to a freezing AC condenser coil. Installed just in time as the coil was hung an hour after installation! I was immediately warned to solve the problem with minimal flooding! Great product and NO fakes!

I wasted my time and even returned one of these because it kept giving false positives. However, when the second one did the same thing, I changed my settings which control the sensor in a way that defies common sense (can't remember the setting). It would have saved a lot of time if the box had advised me to set up the sensor like this.

Added sensor to qolsys iq2+ panel in less than a minute. Just go to the advanced settings, enter the installation code, add a sensor, a security sensor and an auto-learn sensor. Simply open the cover by pulling the battery tabs to trigger the tamper and the sensor will be added to the panel. Name it and place it where you want it. I tested mine right away, sent an alert to the switchboard within a second or two, and the ADT called me within 5 seconds, oops! But all in all I am very satisfied…
