Very happy with this shaver. I use Col. Conk shaving soap, put the washer in this bowl and melt it (I use one of those flavored waxes I already have, but I'm sure there are other methods). It melts well and sticks to the bowl. It's wide enough for a quick lather without splashing and looks great. Highly recommended.

This bowl replaces a cheaper wooden shaving bowl. It cleans up so easily and feels very durable with a quality finish that should last for some time. I use this with the Colonel Conklin Shaving Soap which I believe is the standard 3.5 ounce size. This is perfect for her with plenty of room to work with the frothing brush.

As I've said elsewhere, I'm new to using soap and shaving brushes so didn't know where to start. I'm glad I ordered this bowl because it's big enough to hold any size bar of soap you want to use and leaves room around the edges for lathering. It looks very beautiful on our dressing table and appears to be made of high quality material. I wasn't planning on traveling with it, but if you do you might need something smaller.

Of all the products I've bought, Q Shave is the best, but I bought 3 pieces of Q Shave, stand, Safety Razon 700 and a badger hairbrush. Guess what? They are not compatible! Yes, you heard right. The shaver is too heavy and the brush does not fit properly on the stand.

I was looking for a stainless steel shaving soap dish with a lid that would fit my shaving stand and other bathroom accessories. The stainless steel finish on this bowl is very nice, but the lid leaves a lot to be desired. First, the lid doesn't fit well on the bowl. Metal embossing does not match the shell shape. It's as if the lid and bowl were designed independently. This results in an ill-fitting lid that reduces the usefulness of this product. Forget using it as a travel accessory. The lid

The bowl itself is better than I expected. Good quality, works great as a desktop shaving bowl or bath tub. In the review, I was asked to give stars to Journey. ? Personally, I wouldn't take it with me when I travel. It may have a dent and the top can come off fairly easily while traveling. For the trip, I would take soap that comes from the manufacturer in a screw-top jar, or even better, cream soap in a tube, but to each his own.

This is a great product. The stainless steel is very good. I've read other reviews that mentioned the trim coming off and the lid being too tight, but that's not my experience. It's made of solid stainless steel, so finishes like chrome won't come off. Also, the lid has a loose fit so it can be easily removed while sitting on the counter. If you take it with you on a trip, it probably won't stay in place, but if necessary, an elastic band will do. It goes very well with my Himalaya shaving soap

The bowl is large enough to hold almost any shaving soap. Holding the cup is a different story. As for travel, it's not mine. The lid fits very loosely, loose enough that I don't expect to have soap in it when you get to your destination. I also like to make sure the soap cake is dry to avoid "dropping off" a loose lid if the bowl is bumped while driving. My wife has now. It stands on her desk and makes a great paper clip holder.
