I was expecting set (8) for 2 shelves. This is actually a set of (4) split aluminum sleeves for a shelf, so listing it as a package (8) is misleading. I bought these to replace the plastic slotted sleeves that came with one of the shelves I recently bought. I expect they can hold more weight than the ones that come with the wire shelving kit, but having swapped out the plastic sleeves I'm a bit skeptical. It would be nice to know what is the maximum storage weight they can carry on a shelf.

No instructions included. Unlike split plastic sleeves, the way they are used is not as obvious. I think I used them correctly, but I'm not 100% sure. I have found that it is the quality of the stylus and not the quality of the sleeve that causes the shelf to slide off at times. If you are having this problem and think metal bushings will solve the problem, I suggest you consider buying Metro branded posts instead of cheaper brands.
