Installs upside down as our motorhome body is close to the bumper. However, this eliminates drag and sets the hitch height to the ideal level for our boat. Installed our 4 inch bumper cleanly and without carelessness, but reinstalled without problems.

I bought this one because of the performance but when it got to my house the manual had a much lower draw and tongue weight rating. I tried to return but didn't make it in time, my fault. I ended up having a custom hitch welded to my van to be "tough" and safe with the weight.

Very durable, easy installation. I used it on the back of an RV trailer to hold a homemade heavy duty bike rack. You can't see what's going on in the back of your RV, but I'm comfortable with the fact that this receiver can carry my suitcase and bikes.

Has good looks and design. However, the included carriage bolts are cheap and of poor strength. I didn't have enough room behind the bumper to mount the included 5.5" screws, which rusted after a while and were difficult to remove. So I had to buy a pair of high strength Type 8 hex head bolts with nuts and was able to install them in a couple of minutes.

I installed it on the 4" rear square bumper of my caravan so I could mount one of those luggage racks (with a 2" hitch) to haul a large storage box. My box is full of about 150 pounds of stuff (including my portable generator) and the receiver's drop-down adapter handles the load with no problem. Made of high quality materials, the welding is excellent. Installs quickly and easily. I wouldn't recommend towing a trailer though as the weak link is likely the thin walled material of the bumper…

Sturdy construction and perfect for RV bumper cases. Class III/IV pen did not slip. It goes through the left hole but not the right one. (and yes, I tried it without hesitation). The holes weren't off center as I couldn't even get the pin on the right side. To install the pin, I hammered it in with a deathblow. Great anti-theft as this pin won't come out now. Ideal for holding basket and toiletry bag for pop-ups. It was very tight on the bumper, but with some alignment help with a ladyfinger tool and a perfect straightening, the bolts fit snugly. For myself I didn't use a pre-drilled hole for the clutch pin. My drawbar has a hitch shaft long enough to slide through the hole and place the pin behind the hitch.
