Bloat Compressor Motor

It certainly made my compressor run quietly, but it shut it down so badly that the compressor ran non-stop and didn't stop trying to reach my pressure setting. Once I looked closely, the whole partition is closed. I'm not sure how it's supposed to let air out or in. You can remove the plug or completely close the engine intake and get the same effect.

Pros
  • Filtration
Cons
  • Damaged

Not as shown - Compressed air cleaning

I installed an exhaust muffler a while back to reduce automatic compressor draining in the shop. They get dirty over time and need to be cleaned or replaced. Buy several when you buy them to get started. I received these 1/4" NPT mufflers however they were not 3 slotted as pictured. What I received only has 2 slots per axial position and they are only 2/3 shorter in length.

Pros
  • Pneumatic mufflers
Cons
  • Unsure

Not worth buying pneumatic mufflers

The more expensive and larger muffler wore out after a few months and when I bought a replacement I saw the price and thought they were worth a try but they are not. I don't think it's because they're smaller, but the amount they attenuate is almost imperceptible. When I asked people couldn't even tell there was a muffler on the supercharger at all. We will come back to those that are of very distinct importance.

Pros
  • compressed air treatment
Cons
  • unreliable
