Sew neatly for half-square triangles.

I love this line. This is what makes my Flying Geese HST so accurate and beautiful. Even if your regular pencil doesn't fit in the groove, you can use it like a regular ruler to line up the corners. (A mechanical pencil is recommended.)

Thick Quarter Inch: Rulers and Ruler Stands

Thick Quarter Inch. The tool should be used with a fine marker. However, the results will give you thread widths in excess of a quarter of an inch. The manufacturing process also doesn't involve smoothing the edges, so I didn't get a smooth mark until I used a nail file to smooth out the bulge. Now the rating is satisfactory.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing

  • Can't remember

Eh, not that big, badly milled, with corners and edges.

I had a quilting ruler from the 1980's, it was clear acrylic and about 1/2 inch thick. After decades of work, one day it disappeared and I started looking for a replacement. I'm just not happy with it. It is 1/2" wide with 1/4" slits down the center. It's very easy. The one I receive looks like an unfinished property and has a sharp, jagged edge. Even after I sanded it, it's still ragged. It catches every lost thread and it's annoying. It's accurate, but less durable than I had hoped.

Pros
  • Rulers and Ruler Stands
Cons
  • Not sure
