I love this design but I want the quilt to be very thick and tight, I wouldn't use it anywhere because the quilt would be stiff.

I'm new to quilting and I know some people think you're doing the job twice by marking, but I think these templates are great to use. Now I have some really nice practice figures. It only took me a few minutes to make a thick quarter. And now I can feel how good it feels to move a piece of fabric.

I am currently using this template for a dark quilt and it works well although admittedly it is smaller than what should probably be used for the entire design in a large quilt but I love how much it does looks like this special dark batik blanket. I also used it on a white satin backing for a baby blanket, using this template once around the outside of the blanket, just inside the border, then placing the feather flower in the center and it looks like a million bucks!
