Good design. - Quilting

Good heavy plastic/vinyl works very well for my application. I read that these birds are 2", 3" and 4" (I was looking for 3"). I think it's a little off, but the middle one worked for my needs. Not used for quilting, I needed a wood burning stencil on blank rosettes for window/door trim.

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Achievement
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Hummingbird Stencil

Perfect stencil for my crazy quilt. I think I'll just draw on freezer paper, strategically place it on the edge of the blanket, then iron and sew the freezer paper onto the blanket. Beautiful design. Thanks very much!

Pros
  • For quilting, on walls, curtains, furniture or clothing
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Thin Plastic Stencil

I purchased Quilting Creations Pat's Hummingbird Quilt Stencil to use with acrylic paints. I really liked the drawings, but for my use the fragility of the plastic used for this stencil was not ideal. I like the design and size though.

Pros
  • These stencils can be used in a variety of ways
Cons
  • Expensive

Hummingbirds are everywhere!

Well, I knew I was a bit obsessed with hummingbirds, but really! Now every picture I've drawn in the last four days has a hummingbird in it! LOL And I love them all. You can close lines, erase lines, extend lines, just use it as a base and try all sorts of things with it. I've glued them and glazed them with Lumiere, tinted them, and they're all beautiful! Worth every penny and more!
