Enhance Machine Quilting with Quilting Templates Rulers: Best Meander Quilting Supplies & Free Motion Quilt Templates Review

I do a lot of free motion quilting on a medium arm quilting machine. I've never really liked rulers as they're hard for me to manipulate, but I found this interesting so I gave it a try. It's very easy to use and I use it when I want my quilts to look more consistent.

I'm new to FMQ and it's hard for me to squirm randomly and get a good result. This worked fine for me and I think after using it for a few more quilts my hands/brain could learn to do it without a template. For me it was a good investment. Well made, exactly as pictured. The only caveat was that my ruler leg would sometimes get stuck on the inside points with my machine, so I learned how to manipulate/hold them while moving.

This was my first time trying movement quilting. The quilt template helped me get used to this method. I was impressed how durable it was. It's very easy to use. I also received a YouTube video link that helped me complete my project.

This can be helpful when learning the rhythm for meandering. I put dots on the bottom so it doesn't slip so easily. Once you start getting into it, things move quickly. It's thick enough, however, that it flexes a bit if you press on the outside too hard, but doable.
