I struggled to install this part even though I had completely loosened the clamps. I ended up using a small amount of white petroleum jelly and it slipped off.

This is a bottle. Not every cut was clean. It's a little softer than the OEM, but it works. Mine has been running for over a month with no problems. Plastic parts seem to be much cheaper. If you're looking for something that meets or exceeds OEM standards, this isn't it.

I bought a used car with multiple check engine lights linked to oxygen and exhaust gas sensors. The guy told me he needed new sensors and some other work and even the traction control system would turn off at times. fail. A quick inspection of the house revealed that the intake hose had multiple cracks. Quick replacement of this new hose and all problems solved, now it works like new.

As with many things under the hood, this set can take a while to get right. I was usually able to put it on in about 10 minutes, but it tore a little in the process. Fortunately, this wasn't enough to cause problems as the rupture was imminent, but it does call into question its overall longevity. But for the price I really can't complain.
