This is a beautifully designed product and it buzzes.

Looking for an alternative to my Sonicare's annoying battery problems, I decided on a cheaper, non-rechargeable alternative. This Quip toothbrush is very well designed and made and feels good in the hand which is why it got two stars. However, when it comes to brushing your teeth, it seems like nothing more than a regular toothbrush floating around. I didn't feel like I could get a good clean without manual brushing at the same time.

Pros
  • Sonic
Cons
  • Good for the most part, but...

Be careful when ordering this product

I ordered one of these toothbrushes and later discovered that it was from an unauthorized retailer of this product. It came with no instructions and no code card to sign up for a 3-month top-up at a great price. So I spent $25, although I can still use this brush until my new one, self-ordered from Quip, arrives, complete with a subscription for a new brush head/dough every 3 months. Do yourself a favor and buy from an authorized Quip retailer or from Quip itself.

Quip: Zero Stars for Customer Service

So how many obstacles can a business put up to keep you from honoring your warranty? Take a master class from Quip. This was the fifth Quip toothbrush bought for a second home and as a gift. My last toothbrush broke after 8 months so I contacted Quip. Good news, one year warranty! Oh, you didn't register your $40 toothbrush with them when you bought it? Oh, the guarantee is only valid if you have a rechargeable subscription and we don't see that you have one. (Yes.) Oh we need you to send us 3…

Pros
  • Beauty and Personal Care
Cons
  • Minor Issues

Very similar to other battery powered toothbrushes

I'm fed up with my Phillips Sonic - too bulky to plug in and use. Quip is easier to use but hard to turn on. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's harder, and I've even cleaned without an activated battery. I like it, but in my opinion it's not much better than the cheaper battery brushes.

Pros
  • Oral care
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The battery is almost impossible to change!

I love everything about this toothbrush... except the maintenance. As an arthritis sufferer, I found the composition of this toothbrush very difficult to manage. On the very first attempt to change the battery, the little plastic tip holding the toothbrush upside down broke right away! Now it's the most expensive disposable toothbrush in the world. Like I said, I have arthritis, so it's not because I was trying too hard to separate the top from the bottom. It's just very poorly designed.

Pros
  • Electric Toothbrushes
Cons
  • Unreliable
