They don't hold up under pressure long enough, rendering them useless. I would say the last batch I bought lasted a few hours before the seal broke.

These corks fit the V-Gauge vacuum pump. They work great but wear out over time. The rubber around the stopper section wears and breaks off, causing the stopper to no longer hold the vacuum. I've had the pump for over 4 years now and have changed both plugs twice.

This is a very good product. It worked very well. I've had one for a year and a half and then it broke but I don't know why and I still think it's a great product. You just have to be careful because it's good but not perfect and you have to bleed again every 3 or 4 days so you don't lose the vacuum.

I already had one like this with a rabbit pump. One cork is not enough so I was delighted with these 2 packs. Unfortunately, one of the two packs of V-Gauge stoppers isn't holding the pressure. The other works fine. So now I have two effective V-Gauge plugs. Two that work, work great.

My husband loves this whole system. He loves the extra corks because now he can open more than one bottle at a time knowing that the last glass in each bottle is just as fresh as the first. I would recommend them to anyone who loves wine. We even got the whole system for my son and his wife. You are still obsessed with them.

Bought these as a gift for a friend who has a pump but no gauge plugs. I also have a complete set. We both find that after 24 hours they have lost 25% of the vacuum. Not a BASIC issue, you can just hook up a pump and add a vacuum to the system, but they seem to last more than 24 hours before losing. However, I like the system. It's easy and extends the life of an open wine bottle.

I have a V Gauge pump but I lost the one that came with it. The new ones I got are even better than the original ones that came with the pump. They create a tighter seal and do not lose their vacuum tightness. I kept one on top of a bottle of red wine for 2 weeks and the gauge never moved. I have been using Metrokane vacuum connectors for over a year and they work great.
