🚲 RaceFace Chester Seatpost: Enhancing Performance and Comfort Review

I have a 2018 Scott Scale 980 and the standard seatpost is 400mm which is good except it doesn't drop far enough on a lot of descents. It was the perfect answer and it looks great on the bike too. There are still no problems and complaints on this subject, the mileage is about 100 km.

I love it. Simple and clean with a logo. The only thing I don't like is that to attach the saddle/seat you have to loosen the screw. Also, it's slide and play. It's nice and thick so you know it won't bend easily. Would buy again if I had other bikes to put on. It's only $30 where I can buy 1/2 saddle for that price.

You can't go wrong with one of these seatposts. Not heavy, but not ultra light either... just perfect. They are indestructible and the bold white graphics look amazing. This is the second one I've bought and now I have 3 bikes. I use it on MTBs as well as 2 fat bikes I have. Very reliable. And it's been in production for a couple of years now, so you know it's a good product. Will buy again for every other MTB I have in the future.

Robust head design, easy to assemble seat, good rail contact. All contact surfaces lightly greased prior to installation, no squeaking after a few wet weather rides and rinsing with a hose.
