They look terrible after a wash

knives are sharp, for that there are 2 stars. But after one wash they already look tarnished! The photo shows all 3 we received. The leftmost one was washed once, the middle one was washed twice, and the right one was unused. We keep them because they work, but we have to pigeonhole them because they look awful!

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • For the old

Rada, simply the best and made in the USA.

Second order for these paring knives. There can never be enough paring knives. We have a complete collection of Rada knives. You are simply the best. My expensive Japanese knives are no longer used. Be sure to buy a Rada sharpener with your knives. A few strokes and they're razor sharp again. We recommend Rada knives. I love the little serrated bread knife - it doubles as an excellent tomato slicer. paring knife? You have a daily workout.

Comfortable grip. Excellent quality.

My elderly mother had a set of similar knives that she kept for 30 years. Over the years people have borrowed them or lost them while using them outside of the kitchen. She was heartbroken and wouldn't use any other knife because this one fit her hand perfectly. I was so excited to find them at Revain's and she was so excited to open them on Christmas morning! They are excellent quality just like their old set and I think will be used for years to come! She's already helping me in the kitchen…

Pros
  • Useful not only for the intended purpose
Cons
  • The list will be long.

LOVE THESE! for boxed knife sets

I lost my only other one I had before that was like a family item passed down from generation to generation and I was upset because it was a wonderful knife! That was my way. I have a drawer full of different knives that I have collected over the years, but this one was my absolute favorite. When I lost it, I thought my kids threw it away while washing the dishes one night. But my husband saw how upset I was and I cried upset! I looked for it all over my kitchen and it surprised me! He knew he…

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • dull packaging

Excellent knives. I like the aluminum handle better. I used to have one with a black plastic handle and I think it accidentally ended up in the trash. I like the short one for tasks that require you to control the tip with your thumb, although I like the curved one (not in this set) even more in certain respects, such as peeling boiled potatoes, removing only the outer skin , but not very nourishing layer underneath. In general, it's a good idea to have a selection of different sizes and shapes

Pros
  • So far satisfied
Cons
  • Something different

Blades rust within a few weeks

I rarely review anything, but I have to say that these knives are one of the best purchases I've ever made. I bought them 5 years ago in my sophomore year and they are still going strong. I have since bought a significantly more expensive Wüsthof knife set, but all Rada knives surpass these knives in durability and quality. I can't say enough how much I love these knives. I rarely have to sharpen them but when I do they are shockingly sharp and stay that sharp for months. I strongly recommend…

Pros
  • understandably, even for old

Love my Rada knives

I love these knives. My father, who was a chef, had Rada knives. I never knew the name of the brand until my sister told me when I saw she had his knives. I bought them and I love them. Handles will discolor when washed in the dishwasher, but every good cook knows that you will NEVER put your sharps in the dishwasher because they will dull. I also bought a knife sharpener. i love it too These knives allow you to cut vegetables into thin paper if you wish. Yes, because I have to add veggies to…

Pros

Not dishwasher safe

These knives are described as "hand wash recommended". The care card in the box said something like "beauty care" knife, hand wash. I'm disappointed that the instructions don't state more clearly what happens when you put them in the dishwasher: not only do they lose their glossy finish, but they also leave a messy black residue that lands on your hands and any food you touch when you use knives. As such the knives are great paring knives for the price, but typically "hand wash recommended"…

American made! Very sharp and pleasant to the touch

I'm more of a knife snob. Most of my knives are made in Japan and are very expensive. But it also means I use them, clean them, and then put them away. They are never thrown in the sink and I only use them for "air cutting" or slicing onto a cutting board, never for slicing into plates or trays. So I have some cheaper knives that I use to cut plates and leave the sink until I do the dishes. And although they are sharpened many times and over with steel just before I use them, they become…
