Excellent knives. I like the aluminum handle better. I used to have one with a black plastic handle and I think it accidentally ended up in the trash. I like the short one for tasks that require you to control the tip with your thumb, although I like the curved one (not in this set) even more in certain respects, such as peeling boiled potatoes, removing only the outer skin , but not very nourishing layer underneath. In general, it's a good idea to have a selection of different sizes and shapes of paring knives. First of all, they are never blunt at the same time, but most importantly, sometimes you cook with more than one person and it's good to have the right knife for every task.
