Description of Rada Cutlery Peeling Paring Knife - High-Quality Stainless Steel, 6-1/8 Inches, Black Resin Handle, Made in the USA

PARING KNIFE FOR PEELING – This paring knife is the ideal size for peeling fruits and vegetables. The blade measures 2-1/2 inches and the knife has an overall length of 6-1/8 inches. STAINLESS STEEL BLADE – The hollow ground blade is made from surgical grade, T420 high carbon stainless steel that is hand sharpened. The shorter blade allows for easier maneuverability. DISHWASHER SAFE HANDLE – The handle is comprised of a black stainless steel resin that can be washed in the dishwasher. Hand washing fine cutlery is recommended but the handle on this knife is dishwasher tolerant. It has just the right thickness for comfort and performance. AMERICAN MADE CUTLERY – Rada Mfg. Co. is located in Waverly, Iowa and has been manufacturing cutlery in the USA since 1948. Our mission is all about “providing our customers the best value of kitchen knives for their dollar.”. HASSLE-FREE LIFETIME GUARANTEE – We stand by our craftsmanship. Rada Mfg. Co. will replace any product manufactured by our company returned to us due to defects in material or workmanship.

Made from excellent materials and keeps grinding

I originally bought a set with this knife but for some reason I lost it. My wife and I have found Rafa Cutlery knives to be really good, made from great materials that stay sharp for a long time and are easy to sharpen again and again. I would recommend this to everyone.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Annoys

Comfortable even for big hands!

Although I have size 8 women's hands, this size of paring knife is much more comfortable to use than a large paring knife. It's very sharp on arrival - sharp enough to cut through nitrile gloves and leather - and I maintain this blade by sharpening it with a steel rod after each use, as I do with all my knives, so it's ready for action next time is. This allows me to use an electric knife sharpener much less often as my use doesn't require occasional professional sharpening.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Great quality but cheap.

I actually bought this as a present for my daughter, she has not used it yet as it is a Christmas present. I felt like I could appreciate it because I have 4 Rada knives, 2 kitchen forks and a spatula. I couldn't be happier with the quality or the price. My son and daughter in law use mine too and can't believe such a good product costs so little. I've had one of the knives and two forks for over five years, two of the knives for a few months and just bought a spatula and chef's knife. So far…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Great little fruit knife

I bought this to cut off the tops of strawberries and remove the pits and stalks from apples. I've been looking for 2.5" knives from Wustoff, Henchels or Shun and other knife makers for a long time. Couldn't find one that small, always a bird's beak knife that I don't need. A regular 3.5" paring knife is too big. This is the perfect size. And it's very sharp. The rustproof resin handle is pretty cool.Feels solid without the weight.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Thin

Excellent Knife!: Cutlery & Knife Accessories

I needed a paring knife for my daughter who has small hands. I went through the knives available from Revain and compared the length of the blade as well as the overall length of the knife. This is the ONLY paring knife that came close in size to the knife she currently uses (mine!). It has a plastic handle and a carbon steel blade. I hand wash it because I want it to last as long as what we had 30 years ago. I have big hands, but that fits me too. I don't like the huge blades on the vegetable…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No Instructions
