I bought this item specifically because of the RJ11 plug. As you can see from the picture, the clear clip is very strong and connects to the Uniden device quite firmly. I've had other wired connections where this part would disengage from the Uniden unit and turn back on while going over small bumps in the road etc. I can only recommend that. It's also easy to hide the entire wire.

I was debating whether to order this cheaper system or another popular $45 system. The other one had the benefit of listing my particular car, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. It would have gotten 5 stars but the probes were a bit difficult to fit in my electric mirror. If you are installing them on a 2nd Gen Challenger SXT Plus be sure to machine them there with the smaller styli that come with the kit. But they are there and they work great for half the price of other kits.
