🔦 Enhance Your Whistler Radar Detector with Radar Mount Mirror Mount Bracket (3001008) Review

Bought this mount for a 2013 Smart. Not suitable. There is no way to mount the radar detector horizontally, I had to make some custom parts to make it fit. There is no way to contact the manufacturer to resolve this issue.

I fitted my CR75 to this mirror mount and think it's great. If installed correctly, it will look like the picture. It's a bit fiddly to attach the bracket to the back of the mirror as you can't really see anything. He moves a little, but not enough to annoy you. So all good.

I bought this to fit a 2018 Acura RDX and it works great. I put some tape on the mirror leg beforehand to avoid scratching it. He's been solid so far and doesn't feel like he's going anywhere anytime soon. One of my biggest fears was that it would be loose, wobbly and noisy. But that's not the case!

The mount can say it works on a Cr90 piper. But I had to modify it heavily to make it work with my cr90. This will work, but be aware that it will require some dremel work to get it right. Plus it looks and works amazing! In the photo, the mirror mount is on the left. This is what your right should look like or something like this. (Bracket that came with the radar)

Advantages - Good attachment. Very easy to install. Looks good. Glue the RD directly under the rearview mirror. Cons: Doesn't hold up. After a little movement, the screws will loosen and the RD will begin to fall. The screws have both finger tabs for tightening and hex head screws. Be sure to use an Allen wrench to tighten. With an Allen key, it will hold longer. I can try Locktite nearby to see if that helps. If not, I may have to try adjusting BlendMount.

The product works perfectly. The detector protrudes a few centimeters from the rear of the vehicle and gives the impression that it is intruding into the passenger compartment. Since the distance between the front of the detector and the windshield is about 8 inches, I would have preferred to be able to adjust the mount so that the detector moves closer to the windshield and the back of the detector is flush with the mirror. Unfortunately, the track is too short for that. So this product works,
