🔌 HDMI to Component Converter Adapter by RadioShack Review

I love this adapter, all my streaming devices (Roku, AppleTV, PS4, Firestick) only have HDMI output. This allows me to connect as many devices as possible to my old TV, which only has 2 HDMI inputs but also has 2 composite signals. The bonus is that the TV is the old picture-in-picture type so I can watch two games at the same time.

Use this with Nintendo Switch as all my HDMI ports on my Samsung TV are full and I didn't want to buy a splitter. I connected everything correctly, but the colors are slightly different than blue and green. The difference is clearly visible. Not what I expected. I guess I'll just try straight RCAs (red, white, yellow) so there's no room for chromatic aberration. I don't really need stunning HD or anything like that for my games.

I use this with my Revain Firestick. That works great. I got a 55" Samsung as a gift because HDMI didn't work. But the component inputs worked. The new motherboard was about $250 and this one was $20. Works great. Take a closer look at the TV. Center, and I mean a fraction of an inch. I'm sure I can correct the alignment with the firestick settings and it will be perfect. Thing is a home run.

I have a Comcast HD TV service and have upgraded my standard SD cable TV adapter box to an HDMI HD TV adapter box. My old 2009 Toshiba HD (720P) 15" kitchen TV only has composite and component inputs and no HDMI. Using this Radio Shack converter was easy to install and started working right away. I like that it's a simple cable that converts HDMI to component without a box or power. However, the output signal itself is not very good. If you're using this on a Nintendo Switch, the image quality will be slightly reduced when the switch is set to 1080p. It improved somewhat when set to 720p, but still not as good as when connected simply via HDMI. If you use a basic DVD player that doesn't have this feature, you might encounter problems.

The Apple TV 2 worked great for me I know a lot of people have had compatibility issues with this device so thought I'd leave a review on my setup.
