For the money this product seems very cheap. The scale is wide as described by others. I think you could find a better balance point and drill new holes, but customers don't need to make any changes to make it work properly. The cup always remained at an angle, no matter what size bottle you put in it.

As you can see from the photos I've attached, this cup holder does not hold a 32oz Yeti, RTIC, or any other 32oz cup, except for the conical one Mugs from Sonic or McDonalds. It fits 20oz cups like Yeti/RTIC/Yukon but not 32oz cups. It adjusts and holds the mug well, but if you want it to hold 32 ounces of Krone and Coke in your favorite Yeti-style stainless steel mug, then worry not.

I bought this for my tractor to hold drinks while I work. This works fine for my needs. Since the tractor drives over ruts, hills, and rocks, I needed something to keep the drink level so it wouldn't spill. This product does it well. I like the ability to adjust the cups to different sizes. The block is well built and looks like it will last for years. I would recommend this product to my friends.

I have other RAM mounts so I went with this large cup holder. Immediately, I noticed that the vertical cup holder pivoted on the U-bracket, preventing the drink from standing upright. I ended up lining up the cup holder, drilling a small hole in the U-bracket and vertical cup holder, and then securing it with some small zip ties. Works great now with this mod.

This item does not sit flat as others have mentioned! I may have fixed this issue as a previous reviewer in RAM 2017. It was too much of my anger that it wasn't fixed! It has 2 tiny cheap plastic screws holding the cup holder to the mount that are not positioned correctly for it to work properly. If RAM would fix this product I would definitely recommend it. Unfortunately it is empty at the moment. I am writing this as 09/05/2019

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. Bought it for a motorcycle tour. Let's start with the rubber feet which YOU need to attach with super glue. They only lasted about 2 days before falling off while riding and pulling out a 20oz bottle. Then the actual bottle cage is separated from the base, I think it won't handle a small bump in the road, it's held together by two pins pressing against the bottle cage. Needless to say, he ended up in the garbage after his third fall at the gas station. Absolute rubbish

I'm glad to see RAM coming out with an extended cup holder, but there are still issues they need to address. The balance on the holder is off-center, slightly off-center. The opening at the top is too narrow so the Tervis and Yeti cups just don't fit. A few things I did to fix these issues, I installed a tungsten washer weight with a hex head screw at the base. To be honest both this coaster and the original smaller one need some kind of weight on the bottom to really keep it balanced.

"Level Gauge" does not hang straight at all. Not even close. See attached photos. I returned the item and the seller was very prompt with replies and refunds and was very helpful. 5 stars for them! Unfortunately, this is a design flaw. The holes that attach the cup holder to the pivot are in the wrong place, causing a shift in the center of gravity. Apparently others had the same problem. As other reviewers have written, this is expensive junk. I was using a 2012 Goldwing until part of it fell off my bike 2000 miles from home in August. The 20 ounce thermal coffee mug didn't hold the handles in the frame enough and part of the holder fell off the bike when I hit a rough road. Goodbye scrap and have a nice cup of coffee. Doesn't keep the drink level on a stop. The plastic pins or holes are in the wrong place. With a full 32-ounce mug, unless they're REALLY tight, the longer RAM…
