Think about your requirements before you buy this one.

Be sure to read all customer reviews before purchasing this item. I found this item adequate at best, but don't look for "extra goodies". One side of the guide is curved so it takes some getting used to using it. Correct setting of the bit according to this guide is half the battle. It's not just a "lock and go" case. The distance between the cutting edge and the fixture is critical to getting the desired edge.

It's difficult to get a chisel to grind a square. Be careful with expensive chisels and irons.

This guide works very well but the chisel cannot be placed perpendicular to the clamp. The one I received is powder coated and has some imperfections that I had to sand down to allow the plane to sit flat. I would not recommend using this with expensive chisels. I bought it to restore old garden finds and it does the job. If you have expensive sharpening tools, find the best sharpening guide to make your tools better. However, it's still better than trying to sharpen by hand.

Not so good.: Hand tool

This is a very simple device but the manufacturer doesn't really get it. The base of the two plates holding the chisel or plane should be a flat surface. The device I received was rough, with one flat surface warped a few degrees from another flat surface. I joined two panels and milled the surfaces with a large flat file to get surfaces with some flatness tolerance. Since it's aluminum, filing was easy.
