I bought these for the back of my 2000 GMC Envoy. The old shocks were Bilstein and were completely removed (the factory air shocks were removed and the air compressor disabled before I bought this car and replaced with regular shocks). I had an awkward hitting bumps in the road that caused the car to rock back and forth and was not safe for me to drive. These shocks (along with the new RS5123 front shocks) solved my problem. If you're looking for a rugged, truck-like ride, look no further.

My first purchase from Revain. Picked up my car via website (2002 GMC Envoy XL 4WD) and got PN RS5124. Ordered and received pretty quickly. I was going to attach it and the top end had an old bolt strut with two holes on top not just a lug hole that the old shock has and the bolts come loose even if I remove that strut. Went to the rancho website and they don't even list messenger in their selection criteria. Now my car is on jack stands and I'll have to try and drive to the local auto parts…
