Very disappointed with the Rancho brand and returned to .

These shock absorbers wore out in less than 60 days. without towing and transport. Very disappointed in the Rancho brand and went back to hem shock absorbers.

Cons

Unfortunately not as advertised for a 4x4 adventure

Soft and squishy. NOT what I expected from the ranch, especially for off-road adventures. Rideability is good, delivering a controlled ride that feels smooth without a hint of stiffness or springs at the rear.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Protection

Great shock, great price.

I knocked out Monroe on a trip to the desert. Their lifetime warranty was good, but changing shocks weekly was a hassle. They're nice and heavy and I don't feel any increase in stiffness for a full size pickup.

I can't be wrong - Spares

It was easy to install on my '04 F150 in just 30 minutes. They ride great both off-road and on-road. Much better than my serial shocks. My rear end is stabilized and works in both directions, in contrast to standard dampers. They also leveled the truck's rake a bit, which is a bonus.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Big improvement over my stock shocks at 110k miles

I installed them to replace the leaking rods at 110000. Obviously any new shocks would be an improvement at this point (the old ones leaked and caused weird tire wear) but of course that's a few notches above Stocker in terms of build quality. They are much heavier and seem better built. After installation, the driving behavior has improved noticeably. I would recommend them.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • too dumb

Lincoln Mark LT 4x4 AKA Ford F 150 with 96k miles. Florida's roads are perfect, works in Louisiana in Ft. Regiment. LA has some of the worst roads I've ever seen, after a few thousand miles here the back was bouncy and bouncy, not the way we guys like bouncy or bouncy things. Everything is smoothed out now, they are longer than the original, maybe 4 inches, very close when they go all the way down. I think they raised the back or maybe the existing ones were old and sagging. I'm glad I have a…
