🔧 Enhance Steering Control with Rancho RS5000 RS5413 Steering Damper Review

Fixed the death hesitation I had from the factory stabilizer failure. Works well and doesn't look bad. Installation was very easy and keeps the truck right on the freeway when you let go. My truck picks up on 35 inch mud wheels and runs fine.

Arrived beautifully boxed and double boxed. All hardware was included as far as nuts and washers would go. Easy to install even if you don't know what you're doing as no instructions are included. That's why I have to give four stars. It's also made in the USA, in case you're wondering. I also installed it on a 2005 F-250 6.0 Powerstroke 4x4 and it helped keep my steering off the road.

So far so good. I got death wobble again and the damper/anti-roll bar was leaking again on my 2006 Ford f-350 so it was time for my second 120,000 mile shock absorber change. Part of the problem was that the dirt on the inside of the rims had dried and dried causing the wheels to be unbalanced. Tire pressure is also a critical factor, so make sure it's within recommended pressures. On my Firestone Transforce AT tires I run 70psi all round, 10psi below max. I put a full set of RS9000XL shocks and RS5000 steering stabilizer on my 2005 F250 SD and what a difference! The ride is awesome, I no longer click my teeth over potholes and the steering is firm and there is no more wandering or steering. Easy installation with a couple of wrenches and socket wrenches. This steering stabilizer was purchased from Revain. Came in the original packaging but without a hardware case. A call to Rancho solved the problem and I had the parts within 3 days. The care of the ranch was excellent. The problem arose when I removed the old stabilizer and compared to the new one and yes I know I should have checked before proceeding with removing the original. I have a 2006 Ford F-350, 4WD, SRW. The item was fairly easy to assemble. I made sure to lubricate all the nuts with spray lube a few days beforehand.
