Great cup of coffee

I like it when it breaks you can fix it yourself and spares are available, it makes delicious coffee, cappuccino takes a bit but it's worth the wait. It froths milk very well, but it took me a few tries to perfect the technique. I'm the only one who uses it because no one wants to pay attention to the correct procedure and the attention required to use it (I'm afraid that the heating element will burn out) and is not allowed to use. I also use it to make my wife a cup of hot, delicious…

Almost perfect single boiler espresso machine

Bought model without PID. Not necessary. With this coffee machine, I consistently brew delicious espresso. The steam wand is very strong, but having a hole instead of 3 or 4 is a bit impractical. The rocker switches feel very comfortable and the high quality components remind me of working with LM Linea when I was a barista for several years. For a kettle, this is the best machine I've ever used at this level. The only downside is the design of the boiler. You need to make sure it's full on…

Great car and fast delivery

The item arrived safely at my house. It was a bit of a learning curve, but once the machine is dialed in, it takes great espresso shots! The steam pipe works wonders. I like the commercial parts and the reassurance that replacement parts are available. The only problem I had was the factory head gasket. The portafilter stops just below the red mark on the brew head (see image). A few times I encountered the problem of water flowing between the head and the filter. Over time I plan to replace…

Low build quality - good performance

Absolute disappointment in terms of quality. It looks like it's a 12th grade metallurgical workshop project from the 1960's. Old design, chunky and not sexy in any way. Plates are not aligned. THICK iron frame (1950s or 60s I think. Huge metal screws holding curved panels together. I'm amazed at the amount of positive feedback. Italians are known for their beauty, but not here! Square! Rocker switches. Awkward design where the steam that Pipe has no clearance I had to add a coffee maker stand…

Really good for beginners

I bought this machine as my first espresso machine, going against the general consensus on the internet that this machine is 'bad for beginners' and that I should get a Gaggia. I did a little research and found that Gaggia has an aluminum kettle, which is a health wake-up call for me. I'm very glad I bought Sylvia instead. The only plastic in the entire machine is found in the switches, cold water supply and return lines, cold water tank, portafilter handle, cable insulation, and group…
