Don't worry - jerky

Loaded with 50lbs and the pulley got stuck so hard it couldn't spin freely, sometimes not at all, making 50lbs feel like 100 with added friction. Also less than you think for a 2 inch pulley. Spend a few extra bucks at Home Depot or some other place where you can get your hands on pulleys before you buy them. returned

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Faulty

Very cheap and cheaply made

The price was right. And since I probably won't be using it more than 3 or 4 times a year with a light load, it'll probably last me for a couple of years or more. But there is more play between the shaft, bushing and pulley than I have seen in fully worn traction blocks. Don't buy it if you use it for heavy workloads or frequently.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Poorly done - with photos to prove it.

I understand why this product is not Ranger stamped. the photos say it all. When you take the pulley apart you will find many rough surfaces that will rub and cause very poor running which will cause really serious problems over time. I want to buy a bigger pulley there, but this pulley makes me think the bigger pulley is just as badly made. can you prove me wrong?

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Fragile

Looks great! Does not work properly with a 30 lb load.

Feels very solid and looks very solid. I was so excited until I tried to use it. With a 30lb load he jumps and jumps with a TERRIBLE roll and he can't handle 4000lbs in any way. I've tried a few different angles and it shouldn't matter, but it's more stress/friction than just throwing a rope over a smooth bolt or pipe. I have no idea how this product got so many good reviews. I've bought a few other smaller pulleys that run 1000% better, have smooth bearings and don't bind under light loads…

Pros
  • Good product for the price

Solid value; can really be improved with some rework

These wrench blocks are solidly built but lack fit and finish. I use them for a makeshift rope machine for my small home gym. When I first installed them I noticed some rotational knocks so I took them apart and found a weld or extrusion in the steel sleeve between the pulley and the pin. This seam was fairly easy to remove with a dremel and/or needle file. I then used a fine sandpaper to buff the bushing and smooth the outside surfaces of the pulley (they ruined the paint). Finally, I put some

Pros
  • Satisfied so far

Not Durable - Traction and Buoyancy

*Edit* Downgrades rating to 1 star. Use no more than 300lbs twice a week as part of a garage fitness cable system and the brass bearing will be fully seized after 1 month. This was after adding lube. The brass bearing is completely broken. I can't imagine it will do you any good for an ATV winch system. The outside diameter of the shaft is about 10mm and the inside diameter of the pulley is about 13mm just in case someone needs to order a bearing. and at just 50 pounds, he showed his…
