TRMS 6000 Auto Ranging Digital Multimeter: Battery Powered, Alligator Clips, AC/DC Voltage, Amp/Ohm/Volt Multi Tester Review

I looked at a few Revain multimeters and settled on this one. It's heavy and looks like a solid device. It's like playing a violin using the included battery. As a bonus, it has a keyhole cutout on the back and a fold-out kickstand. The lines aren't impressive but look sturdy, I'll replace the alligator clips with mini grabbers. They will replace two El Chepo meters. So far the accuracy has satisfied my amateur needs. My only caveat is the wire replacement plan.

I really needed a backlit display, but this one only stays lit for 10 seconds, making it almost unusable for my use. There were no instructions included, but common sense makes it easy to work with. If you're looking for a basic DMM, this one could do the trick very well unless a backlit display is required. I will be returning this DVM. Judging by the number of good reviews (?), I may have gotten a bad device, but I can't use this thing. It looks good, has a lot of good features and is easy to use. Bought for my cousin because his little multimeter blew recently. A 9V battery must be installed before using the multimeter. The process is simple, but the plus and minus signs are a little difficult to read. I have already taken a photo for identification. I checked two resistors and an 18650 battery. One resistor was 27 kΩ and the multimeter showed 26.91 kΩ; the other was 100 ohms and showed 99.7 ohms. And it showed 4.194V for the battery. All results are correct, so everything works fine…

I've always wanted a big name in metre, but for the money I really couldn't justify buying it. I need a meter mainly for automotive and home use with some tube amps refurbished. After a lot of comparing and researching, I decided on this one. Tired of the brand, I'm very glad I made the purchase. Well made, feels solid, normal measurement lag for a DMM and so far readings are accurate. The no-touch voltage feature is okay, not great, and only seems to work when plugged into an outlet or switch.

Well, I wouldn't rely on this multimeter for lab work, but it has one positive trait: capacitance and resistance measurements are pretty good. The voltage varies widely, sometimes by a volt or more, and sometimes the device just doesn't measure voltage, AC or DC. I wouldn't trust that.
