Mediocre. Forgoing style for safety

As someone trained by the Red Cross to properly fit a helmet, I am not a fan of this helmet. Not enough padding included for proper fit. The straps are easy to adjust and work well, I'm not happy with the loose fit of the inside of the helmet without the adjustable padding.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Fading

Three stars on children's helmets

I liked the helmet but it melted after being in the car for less than 2 hours :( I returned the helmet and got another one because my son loved the design so much but the second helmet also melted and was left with his bike in the shade in the backyard. :( It didn't seem to affect the safety of the helmet but it looks bad.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I don't really have any complaints about it, everything is fine

Great fun! Cycling

This is a very fun helmet. I bought this for my average size 5 years. It's a bit roomy, which could probably be remedied with some extra padding, but he loves the design. (Much better for an 8 year old. It's also a bit big for our 7 year old, but some kids might have bigger or rounder heads.) There are little white lights that flash at the base of the Iroquois. (not very noticeable) but I didn't buy it for the light. My son loved it. Got this to go with my scooter.

  • Sturdy construction

My 3 year old loves it!

My son didn't like his previous helmet (different brand) so he didn't want to wear it and it was a constant struggle to get him to wear his helmet. A friend of mine recommended that he buy him a "cool" helmet so he would want to wear it. Literally the day this helmet arrives my son puts it on without my knowledge, it's easy enough for him to put it on himself (he's three years old) and he's learning to take it off himself. The helmet is also well made and I feel good wearing it for safety.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Doubtful

Buyers beware, if you are purchasing this item be aware.

Buyers, be careful, when you buy this product, you know that the batteries are non-replaceable, and the light is on for 45 seconds to a minute, and then turns off automatically. It's not good for our family as we ride our bikes in the evenings when it's cooler outside. I would keep the helmet if the lights stayed on and I could change the batteries. This defeats our purpose in purchasing a helmet to improve our son's visibility at night. The item has been returned.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • Out of fashion

The decorative film shrinks and peels off.

In fact, this is the second we have received this summer. We bought one with a different print but the decorative cover shrank and detached from the helmet within a few days of receipt. We traded that one in and while it took weeks rather than days, that one started to go down too. We keep them in the garage away from the heat and sun so it's nothing but a manufacturing defect causing this. I gave it 3 stars simply because it doesn't affect the function of the helmet, but it leads to the…

LEDs DO NOT STAY ON!

I am very disappointed with the LED helmet. My son loves it so I can't return it. Spare helmet for evening rides (he has a Raskullz helmet ) mohican without lights which he loves too) These lights go off automatically in less than 60 seconds after turning on The whole point of buying this helmet was being able to see it at night. He doesn't know what kind of person would be able to check the top of their head to see if the lights are on or if they need to be turned back on. WHY SPEND $10 MORE…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

High quality Raskullz, affordable and cool for kids

My 7 year old doesn't wear helmets and is used to arguing and arguing about what he's worn in the past from Razor, Bell etc. He has a new electrics helmet. Scooter for Christmas and they told me I need a helmet. We let him pick the Raskullz he likes best and he doesn't complain about donning his red and black mohican for cruising. It's well made, comfortable and fits well. Because the graphics are applied to the plastic shell like high end (and expensive) bike helmets, they hold up well and the
