Description of ☕ Stainless Steel Ratio Six Coffee Maker with Enhanced SEO

Brews up to 40oz (eight 5oz cups). The Ratio Six coffee maker is built with thick, precision stamped stainless steel with a satin stainless steel or matte black finish. Laboratory grade handblown borosilicate glass water lines. BPA-free copolymer water tank with water markings from 2 to 8 cups, with accuracy to within 1 ounce. The tank holds 44 ounces / 1.3 liters of water at the full mark, with roughly 10% of that volume absorbed into the coffee grounds. 44 ounces poured into the water tank should yield about 40 ounces of brewed coffee. Designed in Portland, Oregon.

Had to send 2 back, didn't want to take 3

What a plagiarism! You have to take the top off when it's done, at just the right moment or it will cool down, and then put on the other top to keep it hot. The first one I bought had a broken top. the second stopped brewing for 1/4 cycle. Then they wanted me to send the defective unit back before they replaced it. Raven gave me the money back.

Pros
  • Stable construction
Cons
  • Basically ok, but...

Buy a BOA-free glass coffee press instead

Grossly overpriced for the same barista flavor you can get with a good French coffee press for less than $100. Of course, by using ground coffee beans you get a great coffee taste. Get BPA FREE and no other harmful toxins in products. Plastics, buy anything made of glass or uncoated stainless steel. Nobody wants to drink toxin for breakfast. Discover Revain has some great kettles and I use an elegant glass kettle that goes well with a coffee maker!🥰👍🏼

Incredible coffee - Poor carafe design

Ratio Six is one of the best coffees (as good as a pourover) but for the price you would expect more thought and design from a carafe. Towards the spout it does not taper at all, but "funnels towards the middle". This requires you to turn the entire carafe upside down to pour out the coffee and causes a lot of coffee splatter rather than the expected steady flow. So much thoughtful design, great decanter slip!

  • Weight
Cons
  • Useless features

Do yourself a favor and try a different coffee maker!

As others have said there are some very obvious cons in terms of value for money that should NOT be present with this product. My main complaint is absolutely about the decanter. As another user said, you have to turn the carafe completely upside down and the coffee squirts everywhere. I don't know how this company entered the market without noticing and fixing this problem. We've had a few other mid to high end machines - if you like that look I'd recommend Technivorm. Ours lasted about 5…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

It could be great, but no.

I want to love this coffee maker, but there are a few cons that prevent me from recommending it: - I have to descale it every two weeks. Otherwise you risk voiding your warranty. - it doesn't work properly anymore. After about 6 months it only brewed about 2 cups at the "flowering" stage and then stopped. Constantly tried to brew but the same problem persisted. White paint scratches very easily by a factor of six, which shouldn't happen on a $350 coffee maker. To make matters worse, I have…

Great job as a brewer - it's time to refresh the decanter!

Three weeks have passed and so far so good. Great shower head I really like that extracts beans evenly. Although the steel carafe - I really hate it. That ruins the coffee. No matter how much you rub, soak in vinegar, etc., that bitter, burnt smell lingers and seeps into the next cup of coffee. I don't know how lovers of good coffee deal with it, but I definitely can't. The glass carafe is fragile but necessary. I wish Ratio would put some of that creative energy into developing a better glass…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
