It's no oil at all. It appears to be water-based as it rinses right off hands without leaving an oily residue. After shaking the bottle as recommended on the label, it looks more like soapy water than oil.

Overall, for the money, this kit is hard to beat. My only complaint is that the cloth that comes with it (to apply the oil) is very cheap and falls apart when rubbed/wiped. I like the oil and the fact that they contain two large strips.

It is difficult to judge whether the product performs well in terms of elasticity and softness. It may be better than first impressions, but the oil doesn't absorb much. The product is watery and not as easy to use as I thought.

This is not Glovolium glove oil as shown in the picture. I have used this particular product successfully in the past. The delivered product only says glove oil, which is not oil at all. As others have said, it's more of a light soapy solution. Stay away!

I thought it was just me when I wanted to apply 'oil' it's literally soapy water! Did absolutely nothing to the glove except get it wet. There must have been some quality control issues at the factory because it's not oil and it's not remotely like oil.

100% agree with many negative reviews. I have used Rawlings Glove Oil in the past and have been happy with the "Original" formula. What you get here is pure soapy water. ZERO oils. When you buy this product you are basically paying for the giant rubber band and tissue paper included in the package. I don't understand why I didn't read the reviews before purchasing. Fool me once, Revain & Rawlings, but never again!

I was expecting glove oil. It doesn't look like it is. Slightly foamy water consistency. The skin was not wet or conditioned, just dried like water. I don't know if it was a faulty product, or if Rawlings determined through detailed scientific research and experimentation that whatever this stuff was, was the perfect skin care product, or maybe some marketing genius thought they could just make soapy water 2 cents per unit and get the kill. I can only say that I will not buy it again.

I am giving this review 2 stars because the best thing about this set is the 2 large elastics. softball and they make great baseball gloves. But this oil kit is not very good. The little towel they include falls apart after a few minutes of use and the "oil" is more like water. I bought a pair of used gloves for my son that were barely used and needed a break in period or just needed a good lubrication. That's why I bought this kit. I think that would be good because it's Rawlings. It's not…
