Trash is best not to buy in baseball gear

Trash my 14 year old son after a day of batting practice stepped on every ball after just one shot. Each sphere has been deformed and now everything is shaped like an egg. I sent them back. Can be good for a tee ball or just an easy catch. save money

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Minor issues

Too rubbery and soft

They just don't look like real baseballs. The cover and seams are too smooth and the seams are too flat. They also feel too soft - I can make a dent in them just by using my thumb. I found a few that seemed too light or too heavy for me, so I weighed them - one weighed 5.01 ounces, the other 5.33 ounces. Generally they are not for playing or throwing, I will only use them from target or for a soft throw.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Modern

Perfect fit for my 10 year old!

After reading some of the reviews I was very nervous to buy it but my 10 year old needed some practice for the game. Well after three months of regularly hitting these balls in the net they are holding up great. Yes they show signs of wear and no they are not the best balls in the world but for the price I am very happy. Maybe some of the reviewers have older kids who hit a lot harder, but for my kid they're perfect. I've attached a photo, this is the average wear and tear on these bullets for…

Do not use for bp - fan shop

So I bought them because they were at a very good price. However I have just come back from BP with my two boys aged 10 and 13 and the balls are no longer round. My 13 year old used a wooden bat so I figured it would be fine. However, these balls are very soft and don't fly like a good ball. After several hits, they started to fly like inflatable balloons because they lost their shape. I have some good old balls and after 10 years they are still round and work great. In short, these balls are…

5 stars for what they are, not for being perfect

If you are training kids under 8 and want a "count" exercise balls, this is a great option. Exercise gets done faster, more blood pressure swings, and if you lose a few, so what. Also a big plus is that when you train on a wet field with these balls you can hit your good leather balls for the best conditions. Synthetics hold up better than leather when wet all season long. But remember again, these are "exercise balls". You can use cue balls for some exercises, but they fill in everything else.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • The list will be long.

2 dozen balls on sports equipment

Update: These balls have had a few seasons with a few training sessions per week. Since then I've ordered better balls and skip them and take one of the best balls, especially when working with pitchers. As mentioned, the stitching on them just doesn't stick out that much. I've since moved to these: Rawlings RCALI Cal Ripken Baseballs. Cal Ripken balls are much better, but they have to be because a dozen of them costs as much as two dozen of them. If you are looking for quality balls this is…

Have family fun Balls

Having a bucket full of balls is useful instead of looking for a lost ball. The balls are suitable for children learning to catch, serve, throw and bat baseball. The children like to play baseball. Too bad Major League Baseball is no longer on free TV. The kids don't even know there's a local major league team in their area. A baseball game on TV after 8 p.m. is not for the younger generation. So far ball games are shared quality time of father and son and father and daughter. Then we cook hot…

Read before you buy and then DO NOT BUY

I'm not the typical person who complains about a product. I researched this product and read a lot of complaints about how cheap the balls are and how they fall apart. I was like, yeah, these are balls that don't just fall apart. I've been using these balls for a number of weeks with my three children: my son is 12 and plays minor league baseball and high school baseball, and my daughter is 11 and plays Softball in the park and on vacation and softball in high school and my other daughter is 9…

Pros
  • Very good price

  • Exorbitant price
