Big boys (or girls) club only

Nice color. Really good thread. A big problem. It doesn't shrink to 10 inches. The smallest color size is 13 1/2 inches. I have a small dog that will be 10 1/2 inches when well groomed and just under 11 inches when fully grown. I get frustrated when I order things and the description and label are so far off. Looks like I'm going to Petko.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Poor guidance

A few years ago I wrote a bad review about the XL collar because the rings weren't strong enough and my XL dog pulled hard enough to bend the ring and get out of the collar. I'm writing a new review because the collar I just bought has much heavier rings and they are now strong enough for a very large dog. So thanks to Canine Equipment for improving the collar - I will definitely be buying another one in the future.

Seems to hold up well (3-4 months after purchase)

So you don't have to keep tightening it, it's a martingale, and until it falls apart and breaks, although my dog was pretty roughly with collars. [knock on wood, right. falling apart.] I don't like the size. Believe it or not, the right size for my bull neck dog is SMALL. A wider collar would be better for them. Also, I'm not at all happy with the choice to use the straps inside out and sew them in a contrasting color. A plain black collar would look way better than this one. I think it looks…

Best martingale collar I have bought

My puppy has been a terror since I got him at 8 weeks old. She is now 8 months old and her behavior has improved but she still pulls a lot. So a few months ago I was advised to buy a martingale collar. I tried a few different ones and they helped, but then I read on to get one that was completely convoluted in a loop. I googled and found this collar. It wasn't much different than what I was using, but I bought it anyway. Wow! I love this collar. It doesn't pinch or suffocate my dog as much and…

*wrong size*, stainless steel parts are heavy but beautiful.

I'm giving it a lower rating because it initially had so many high reviews that I almost bought the recommended size. my dog has a 13" neck and fits almost completely snug with a small logo element under the slight slide adjustment, he can actually be a little loose but not dangling. I don't use it the moment it slides freely over her head full off but the D rings make secure contact when tightened because they are basically crouched Sorry I won't measure it now the to do list is daunting If…

  • This is great
