Difficult to find

If you are using an analog phone and need a long receiver cable, they will help you. I still use a landline phone due to poor cellular coverage where I live, and it's always good to have a fully wired setup in case of a power outage. This length gives extra freedom of movement between the kitchen and living room during a call. I wanted a branded cable and this worked very well.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Very happy with this heavy duty 50ft cable.

The cord that came with my landline was only a few feet long, so I needed a cord that I could run from one end of the house to the other. This cable goes quite a distance and now I can comfortably talk in every room of my house. It's quite strong and the extra weight keeps it from getting tangled despite the coils. I bought a couple so when this one wears out I will have another to replace it. The sound quality is also very good.

  • Good
Cons
  • Bad

Extends the range with a landline

If you still have an old-fashioned landline and want to get around a bit, this cable is a godsend. I still like to use my wall phone when I'm cooking in the kitchen. This phone's handset is easier to carry around your neck when multitasking. It's too difficult with a cell phone or cordless landline unless I turn on the speaker that distracts others in the room. This cord extends my reach by 25 feet, which is enough to get around my kitchen.

Pros
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Volume

Worked a few weeks then strong static - piece of junk

I figured it was obviously a bad connector in the phone causing all the static so I bought a new phone for $20 (instead of wasting time to diagnose the problem). I installed a new phone and the noise stayed on the wire. I connected the new phone cord to the old phone handset and it worked great. I don't see anything obvious around the transparent connector, but obviously the cheap 26 gauge cable is broken and making intermittent contact. One piece of junk and I spent $20 on a "spare" phone.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Cheap, poor quality, static, non-returnable

Well how bad can a plain twisted pair phone cord be? Too bad the seller doesn't allow returns. This is low quality junk causing static electricity on my phone. The listing did not indicate it was an RCA branded cable at the time of my purchase. It's half the size of my original 12 foot Cortelco phone cord. I had to accept the loss and throw this cable in the trash as it is non-refundable. I will buy a quality cable from a better seller elsewhere.

Pros
  • Stylish design
Cons
  • Available in white only

Crack and static right from the start!

I have had this cable for 2 months, I had to return it shortly after receiving it. I just switched back to the cord that came with the phone but my husband wants me to do it for a month or more. It was never good, but it kept getting worse. People on the other end of the line are also commenting on this. It crackles and rustles properly if you can't hold it completely still and put it in the right position. What a problem! This is the second long cable I've tried in the last 2 years and…

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

DO NOT BUY! Static builds up and then it starts hanging on me

Bought this cable last January for a new AT&T phone that I bought and used here hung the wall. The cord was ridiculously short that I couldn't even sit at the kitchen table 3 feet away from it. I also bought the same phone for the bedroom that didn't even reach the bed! So I order a 12 foot RCA cable for the bedroom and 25 foot for the kitchen. I would buy a 20ft cable but couldn't find it. The 25-foot cord might be too heavy to hang, but we've always had wall phones with very long cords. We…
