    Not 1000 lumens. Not even close!

    I bought two headlamps at once, this rechargeable ELEPHANT and Foxelli 165 lumens with AAA batteries. Photos show both headlights at full power with fully charged/new batteries. Can you guess what's what? The one on the left is the elephant! Its brightness is about the same as that of Foxelli. I got the Slonik because of a review from someone who claimed it had 900 lumens, which seems to back up the manufacturer's claim of 1000 lumens. It's definitely not mine.

    Great light for mechanics!

    I like this little light. As a mechanic, a headlamp is one of my most used tools. I've used several different brands over the years, 9 hours a day. What I like best is that since I already have several 18650 batteries and a separate charger, I can use this light all day with no downtime to recharge.     The best light for the money!

    This one outshines all others in the same price range. This thing puts out a legitimate 900 lumens on the highest settings. Comes with a decent 18650 lithium battery. I have yet to test the durability but it certainly puts out enough power to light up a room. I have a much more expensive 1000 lumen Nitecore that I really like.     Not at all waterproof. $70 wasted.

    I used to think it was a solid block but my first one fell off and the glass broke, water got in and corroded the solder joints. Today, just a few days after re-ordering, the light began repeatedly cycling between brightness settings and eventually stopped working. I found that water had entered the case and when I tried to remove the battery, the battery compartment was also flooded. Cap was tight. I also tested the same on the loading end (which I don't use).     NOT 1000 lumens minus four stars because most people buy based on lumens

    Let's get the negatives out of the way first: This light is definitely not _anywhere_ close to 1000 lumens (it looks about as bright as 200 lumens) the flashlights I have don't even come close to my good 1000 lumen flashlight) and no, you won't see any usable illumination at 600 feet. Having said that, I have to say that at this price I still didn't expect it to be 1,000 lumens; Anything that comes out of East Asia that claims to be over 1000 lumens and sells for less than $50 has nothing to do

    Much better build quality than I expected. I've been working in the attic for the past few days using it as my only light source and it was more than enough even in low light to last all day. Unlike some other similar lights I've used, there's no audible coil noise at low settings, and I haven't encountered any overheating issues yet.
